Insert image description

As a result of the surge of mpox cases in part of Africa, WHO declared a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) for mpox on 14 August 2024.

Community protection is a core pillar of the mpox PHEIC response, with the main objective of enabling protection of at-risk and affected communities by using interventions related to risk communication, community engagement, infodemic management and community surveillance, among others.

This site compiles available resources and documents that can be used to strengthen skills and knowledge relevant to community protection for mpox.
