Clémentine Schilte

Head of Digital Education, Education Department, Institut Pasteur

Clémentine Schilte holds a PhD in immunology on antiviral immune responses against Chikungunya virus, obtained at Institut Pasteur in 2010, as well as a teacher training degree in biology. After her PhD, she worked in a Parisian hospital on translational research projects. In 2014, she came back to Institut Pasteur to reinforce the links between the institute and hospitals. Since 2021, she has joined the Education Department as the Head of Digital Education, where she manages the MOOCs and the DNM2IP online diploma on infectious diseases.

Matthew Strehlow, MD

Associate Professor, Stanford Department of Emergency Medicine; Vice Chair of Strategy; Director, Stanford Emergency Medicine International

Dr Matthew Strehlow received his doctorate from the University of Washington and completed his emergency medicine (EM) residency in the Stanford Kaiser Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Following completion of the Global EM Fellowship at Stanford, he stayed on as faculty with a focus on global health. Currently, Dr Strehlow serves as Vice Chair of Strategy for the Department of Emergency Medicine along with his roles as Director of Stanford Emergency Medicine International (SEMI) and as Director SEMI's International EM Fellowship. As a Fellow at the Center for Innovation in Global Health and as an advisor to Stanford's Digital Medic initiative, he works across the campus to help advance the University's mission of improving health and education worldwide. Dr Strehlow is a recognized educator both nationally and internationally focusing on emergency care in developing countries, cardiology, and critical care. His research focuses on the epidemiology of emergencies in developing countries, emergency maternal and child referral systems, scalable inservice education, and the intersection of emergency care systems and gender based violence.

Ellie Kemp

Head of Research, Evidence and Advocacy, Translators without Borders / CLEAR Global

Translators without Borders/CLEAR Global is a US-registered non-profit that works to ensure people can get information and make themselves heard, whatever their language. Ellie leads the organization’s work to provide humanitarian and development organizations with an evidence basis for more effective two-way communication with the people they aim to serve. She originally trained and worked as a professional translator, before moving into the humanitarian field during the Kosovo crisis in 1999. Her more than 20 years’ experience in humanitarian action includes 12 years leading programs, teams and advocacy campaigns in Africa, Central Asia and the Balkans.

Muy Cheng Peich

Director of Education, Bibliothèques Sans Frontières (Libraries Without Borders)

Muy Cheng Peich graduated from the Ecole normale supérieure (Paris, France). She worked as a researcher in cognitive psychology, studying memory, attention and social cognition at the ENS, at UCL as well as at the EPFL. She joined Libraries Without Borders in 2014, after working with the organization on the adaptation of Khan Academy for French-speaking countries. She then created the Department of Education, Contents and Training at Libraries Without Borders. Together with her team, they promote empowerment and agency through innovative methodologies and tools, carefully curated contents and the experimentation of activities that encourage creativity, analytical and critical thinking, and learning by doing.
