课程信息

Migrants across the world face unique health challenges due to their journeys, including exposure to harsh environmental conditions, limited access to healthcare, and inadequate nutrition, all of which can contribute to poor skin health. Skin conditions can signal broader health problems, such as infections or nutritional deficiencies, and can impact overall well-being and quality of life. Effective skin health education and care are essential for early detection and treatment of issues, reducing the spread of contagious conditions, and ensuring the physical and psychological health of migrants and refugees. Moreover, promoting skin health in these communities helps in integrating them into new environments, fostering a sense of dignity and improving public health outcomes. The target audiences for this course are national, district-level, and front-line health care workers who work with migrants as well as anyone interested in learning more about the skin conditions that affect this population. This course will discuss how to diagnose and manage the infectious, immunological, inflammatory, neoplastic, and environmental dermatological conditions that affect migrants.

Course duration: Approximately 2 hours.

Certificates: A Certificate of Achievement is available to participants who score at least 80% of the total points available in the final assessment. Participants who receive a certificate of achievement can also download an Open Badge for this course. Click here to learn how.
