As OpenWHO grows its course offerings, the learning platform's core focus continues to be on providing real-time, accessible and high-quality knowledge from WHO experts to keep people safe in health emergencies. OpenWHO acknowledges the importance of continuous professional development (CPD) for learners and offers a few CPD-accredited courses as part of the WHO Health Emergencies core curriculum.

Following the completion of an extensive independent quality review, the WHO Health Emergencies Programme (WHE) has been recognized as an approved provider for humanitarian learning by achieving HPass certification. Becoming an HPass certified learning provider demonstrates a clear commitment to quality learning products and services, from the OpenWHO.org online courses developed by WHO expert teams, to highly specialized blended training for leaders in health emergencies.

Access to high quality learning programmes is essential to empower vulnerable communities and professionals involved in humanitarian action with the latest health knowledge to save lives. In that context, OpenWHO delivers certificates and digital badges that can easily be shared across social platforms, as well as with colleagues and employers to prove successful completion of a course.

Certify your knowledge

OpenWHO course offers different tools to help recognize the efforts of learners in completing the course content. A certificate of achievement certifies that the learner has completed the course with a formal assessment and has obtained a passing grade. To obtain this certificate, the learner must successfully complete the materials of the course and pass a quiz. In some instances, course certificates have a validity period as some learning content may need to be refreshed on a regular basis, and health practitioners should be in a position to demonstrate their knowledge and science is up-to-date. To increase the credibility of the course certificate, it can be verified online with a QR code or link. If you have earned a Certificate of Achievement, then your digital badge comes along with it and can be found on your Certificates page. You can download the badge to your computer and share it with your networks.
